Warranty

Warranty claims are always the most stressful part of buying a used motor vehicle. We clearly set out below the two options we offer. First is our in house standard warranty, Second is the externally administered extended warranty which we highly recommend.

All our vehicles come with a standard 3 Month in house warranty, which is superseded when an extended warranty is purchased.

Option 1. In House Warranty

The details of which can be found by downloading the PDF document below.

3 Months or 3,000 miles which ever comes first.

This is administered by us and the work is carried out in Sidmouth, Devon.

With our in house warranty it is the buyers responsibility to return the vehicle to us in order to make a warranty claim. This is irrespective of your location or costs associated.

Option 2. Externally Administered

We also offer extended warranties provided by Handler protect. This warranty can be administered by any VAT registered garage in the UK. It is ideal if you are more than an hour away from us.

They range from 3 months to 4 years and are highly recommended for people who are not local to us.

Typical cost for a 12 Month warranty is usually £220inc VAT.

Prices start from around £75 + VAT for a 3 Month warranty.

You can download the PDF document showing what's covered and full T&C's here.

** Points to consider with both warranties **

We cannot guarantee a courtesy car.

We do not provide breakdown cover or recovery .

We ensure that our vehicles are presented clean externally, thoroughly valeted internally, roadworthy and safe. However we do not refurbish vehicles back to new, with this in mind you should expect ongoing maintenance as the vehicle ages and the milage increases. For example a 10 year old vehicle may have electric windows that are operating slower than when the vehicle was new, this is to be expected and not a valid warranty claim as the part has not failed. Both our warranties are to cover you against sudden component failure, they are not maintenance schemes, if the part has not failed it will not be replaced under warranty.
